El mediocampista Juan David Rodríguez entregó su balance luego del empate 0-0 entre Real Cartagena y Tigres FC, por la jornada 7 del Torneo Betplay Dimayor, disputada en el estadio Metropolitano de Techo, en Bogotá. El futbolista sigue siendo pieza fundamental del club que hoy dirige Álvaro Hernández, pero en este compromiso no se pudieron llevar los tres puntos de la capital y ahora miran hacia el frente para la próxima jornada.
El jugador señaló que, aunque el equipo generó opciones claras, el resultado deja conclusiones favorables. “El balance es positivo, aún así sabiendo que pudimos haberlo ganado. Generamos opciones muy claras de gol para llevarnos los tres puntos, pero no hay que dejar de reconocer que los partidos en la B son muy difíciles”, afirmó.

Rodríguez también se refirió a las condiciones del encuentro, especialmente por la altura. “Son equipos que te corren los 95, 100 minutos y más acá en la altura, nosotros venir de Cartagena. Por ese lado el balance es positivo. Sabemos que esto sigue, que hay que seguir sumando y que este punto se hace importante si ganamos en casa el siguiente partido”, explicó.
En cuanto al desarrollo del juego, indicó que el equipo tuvo control en varios pasajes, aunque reconoció aspectos a mejorar. “Sentíamos que podíamos ganar el partido, que estábamos controlando bien el juego. Quizá corregir un poco las transiciones de ataque-defensa, yo creo que es una de las cosas negativas de hoy”, señaló.
El mediocampista también habló sobre la necesidad de mejorar en acciones a balón parado: “Es un factor a corregir. Esta semana hicimos un entrenamiento solo de pelota quieta, tiros de esquina, saques de banda, centros de costado. Hay que seguirlo mejorando”.
Con el empate, Real Cartagena llegó a 14 puntos y se mantiene en la tercera posición del campeonato, a cuatro unidades del líder Inter Palmira y a dos de Deportes Quindío. El equipo cartagenero continúa en zona alta de la tabla mientras avanza el torneo.
