Este lunes 3 de agosto será el lanzamiento oficial de la 15K Mompox 2026, considerada el evento deportivo, recreativo, turístico y cultural más importante de Bolívar. La competencia regresará el próximo 16 de agosto a las calles de Santa Cruz de Mompox, con un recorrido nocturno que combina deporte, patrimonio e identidad en uno de los destinos más emblemáticos del país.
Una carrera con un recorrido único
La segunda edición de la 15K Mompox se disputará en un circuito nocturno con distancias de 15 kilómetros y 7,5 kilómetros, convirtiendo las calles empedradas, iglesias barrocas y portales coloniales del municipio en el escenario de la competencia.

La salida y la llegada estarán ubicadas en el Parque del Jazz, mientras que el recorrido incluirá lugares icónicos como la Iglesia San Agustín, la Iglesia Santo Domingo, La Albarrada y el Casco Colonial, espacios que hacen parte del encanto histórico de Mompox, declarado Monumento Nacional y Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO.
El éxito de la primera edición
La organización destacó que la edición de 2024 consolidó a la carrera como un referente del turismo deportivo en el Caribe colombiano, al reunir más de 2.000 corredores provenientes de diferentes regiones del país.
Además, el evento contó con la participación de atletas internacionales de Argentina, Ecuador, España y Kenia, fortaleciendo la proyección de Mompox como destino para competencias de alto nivel.
Agenda del evento
Las actividades comenzarán el sábado 15 de agosto con la EXPO 15K Mompox, que estará abierta entre las 8:00 a.m. y las 7:00 p.m. Allí se realizará la entrega de kits y una muestra cultural, gastronómica, artesanal y patrimonial.
El domingo 16 de agosto continuará la EXPO hasta las 2:00 p.m., antes del inicio de la esperada carrera nocturna por el centro histórico del municipio.

Las inscripciones para la 15K Mompox 2026 continúan disponibles a través del sitio web oficial del evento. La organización informó que los cupos son limitados y que existen beneficios especiales para grupos de corredores que se registren de manera conjunta.
